Born Pascal Arbez, Vitalic started recording during the 90s under the name Dima. When his friend Michel Amato a.k.a. The Hacker suggested he'd send some tracks to DJ Hell, Arbez complied and was instantly signed to Hell's famous Gigolo label. His first release, the 'Poney EP', for which he adopted the name Vitalic, became a huge club hit in 2001. A year later he started his own record label - Citizen Records. His career successfully continued on PIAS' Different label, where he published his debut album 'OK Cowboy' in 2005.
