At their prime something like a European equivalent to Underground Resistance, Unit Moebius was a pioneering techno crew, founded in the early 1990s in The Hague by Menno van Os ('Duracel'), Guy Tavares, Jan Duivenvoorden, and Ferenc van der Sluijs ('I-f'). Together they established the famous squat parties Acid and the Bunker label, gaining international recognition with their uncompromisingly underground vision of raw, jacking and industrial techno music. After a few intensely productive years the group disbanded around 1997, and its members continued with diverse solo projects.

Shorter days mean longer nights, so why not make the best of them with some pure-bred, booming techno music. Recent essentials in the 4-to-the-floor department come from Terence Fixmer, who celebrates his creative resurgence with 'Comedy of Menace', Gerd's more...
Bunker 001 marked the beginning of an era and its lo-fi madness still sounds as striking as it did back in 1991. Unit Moebius are rightfully regarded as the European answer to Underground Resistance and we'd love to hear this timeless techno document the next time we go out.
