Trus'me Trus'me Trus'me Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Prime Numbers
Mancunian DJ, producer and remixer David James Wolstencroft is a rising star in house music. His low key releases - mostly on his own Prime Numbers label - have quickly made it from insider's tips to top shelf sellers within a mere matter of months. Employing a similar approach to sampling and editing as well as sharing a love for classic disco and soul, Trus'me has frequently been likened to Moodymann. His productions however add a more electronic - and sometimes ironic - note to the famous Detroit son's style.

Three remixes made firmly for the floor have Ben Klock remodeling Trus'me's evergreen W.A.R Dub in a stumbling and minimalistic fashion, Vakula taking 'Need A Job' into intense acid realms, and Spectral's Ryan Elliott turning 'Nards' into a subtly hypnotic tension builder. Essential DJ material.

Though the cover reeks of attention-seeking desperation, Mancunian producer Trus'Me appears with an admirable third album and a slight change in direction. Less of the soulful house, his style takes a more techno direction as his more recent releases have indicated. Still deep and funkin' though, a good listen.

More techno remakes for Manchester's Trus'me: After Dettmann and Nodge this time DVS1 and Detroit legend Terrence Dixon step up to the plate. DVS1 delivers a prime-time banger with ahousey touch, while Dixon's rework shines with bleepy and percussive playfulness. Excellent.

Manchester's Trus'Me calls in the Germans for this remix treat; first up, Marcel Dettmann strips 'Sweetmother' to a dark and winding base, a mere shadow of its shimmying percussion remaining. Fellow Berghain resident Norman Nodge steps up and mutes the funk bass in an eerie, atmospheric version of 'Good God'. Brill!

With the to his acclaimed 2007 debut 'Working Nights' Trus'me manages to exceed all expectations with an audibly matured effort. Staying true to his funk and soul sample-based sound, Trus'me takes things to a whole new level with an array of talented live musicians and prominent collaborators.
