For any casual observer Trentemøller's success story, spanning only a few years time, must seem astonishing: Leaving live-house project Trigbag in 2000 to pursue a solo career, Anders Trentemøller began to raise attention in 2003 with his first releases on labels such as 3rd Floor, Out Of Orbit and Audiomatique. In 2005 he signed with mighty German label Poker Flat and his subsequent slabs of wax - 'Polar Shift', 'Sunstroke' or his 'Nam Nam EP' - all turned out to be immensely popular with DJs and club goers alike. Trentemøller expanded on his proven recipe of tight minimal grooves, melodic hook-lines and a surefire sense of arrangement for his debut album 'The Last Resort' by including live instruments and a highly varied selection of tracks, thereby ensuring the album's popularity even outside the usual techno audience. Continuing to impress with his abundant musicality on his recent release 'Moan' and 'The Trentemøller Chronicles', a collection of remixes for other artists. Taking the liberty to throw his techno music roots over board in favour of a more guitar music based approach, Trentemøller's second album 'Into The Great Wide Yonder' was released in 2010.

Remixes for Trentemøller's 'Shades Of Marble' have the man himself going first with a version that sounds like a 1979 Human League teaming up with the London Symphonic and, well, Trentemøller. Kink delivers a less controversial, nicely chord-driven take, while Kasper Bjørke goes for moody slowed-down disco.
