Toro Y Moi is the alias of South Carolina native Chaz Bundick, whose 2010 debut album 'Causers Of This' established him as one of the US' most promising electronic pop artist over night. Bundick's avant-garde pop is in equal measure inspired by the abstract hip-hop of Flying Lotus as by the ultra-compressed filter-funk of French house artists like Daft Punk, lending a unique stylistic breadth to his highly polished productions. With his second album, 'Underneath The Pine', Bundick gave his sound a more 1960s-inspired songwriting direction.
