Tom Ellis is a producer's producer, wearing many different musical hats whilst being able, because of his training in audio engineering, to reproduce what he hears in his head...and that is a very good thing for us. Ellis' colorful influences shine through in his different styles of production, ranging from jazz to techno, although these days he focuses most of his creative energy on dancefloor-friendly music. Introduced to the electronic music scene in 2003 with releases on Mindtours and Morris/Audio, Tom enveloped himself in the production of electro and embraced the technology behind it. Inspired to make the music closest to his heart, Ellis, along with his best friend Leif, founded their own label Trimsound. His recent live project with Leif, Trimsound Live, incorporates live bass guitar and loop sequencing, and has taken the duo all over the world headlining some high profile club nights in Tokyo, Cologne, Munich, Budapest, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leeds, Bristol and more. Ellis' unique blend of funked-up, jazz-inspired house and techno can be heard on his most recent album on '
Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls' released by
Telegraph.
