Tokyo Black Star is a collaboration project of Tokyo based producer Isao Kumano and cosmopolitan DJ Alex From Tokyo. Most of their releases have appeared on renowned Berlin based outfit Innervisions, showcasing a sound that's impossible to pigeon-hole, drawing from sources such as deep house and soul up to Balearic disco and even Japanese techno-pop in the tradition of Yellow Magic Orchestra.
