After several of releases on labels such Bearfunk, Odori, Hi-phen, Hector Works, etc, Toby Tobias joined Rekids and released Space Shuffle which was not only well received, but made many top 20 album lists of 2008. His start in music, however, (and most often the case with talented artists) was less auspicious. After buying a Roland D-50 sampler in 1990, Toby Tobias began producing techno/house hybrid tracks inspired by the sounds of Colin Dale and Faver. Tobias's first publicly played track was on Colin Favor's 'Demo Dat Pressure.' His success at this early stage of his musical career was short lived, however, as the rave scene broke through the flood gates of just about every club in the UK. After a brief respite, Tobias moved to London in 1995 and began producing again. It was his 'move' from hardware to software, however, that really allowed his productions to take flight and brought him to success with Space shuffle.
