biography
label
Of Finnish descent, but born and raised in California, Johannes Auvinen has been making waves in L.A.'s art scene before launching his Global A label project in 2005. His first two releases, 'Places' and 'Acid Acid', weighed in at three pieces of vinyl each, showcasing the man's two major musical passions: Fragile deep electronica and acid house. Auvinen has since released two highly acclaimed 12"s on Säkho's house label Keys Of Life and has recently relocated to Vienna, a town perfectly fitting his deep and moody productions.

On 'Perfume' Tin Man reaches a middle ground between his extensive explorations of analogue acid house and his song-oriented electronica recordings. His laid-back singing is more present then ever, but at the same time the album's tracks have a distinct house music feel. Unique and recommended.
