The Ones story begins at the legendary Greenwich Village boutique Patricia Field (renowned designer and Sex and the City stylist). Known for its outrageous fashions and clientèle, it was a natural place for the trendsetting native New Yorkers Paul Alexander, Jojo Americo and Nashom to work. Individually, the multi-talented singers/songwriters and performers have been influential fixtures and innovators in New York's underground nightclub, music and fashion scenes. Collectively, the trio combines their shared love of art, music and performance to fuel and define The Ones. Drawing upon diverse musical styles from disco and house to breakbeat and rock, and juxtaposing classic sounds and fashion alongside the avant-garde and not-yet-foreseen, the group unleashes boldly modern and unapologetically vintage, electronic dance-rock juggernauts that stay true to their underground NYC roots. In 2001, they catapulted onto the international music scene courtesy of their infectious mega-anthem 'Flawless', which reached #7 on the official Top Ten UK Singles chart and garnered them a coveted appearance on the acclaimed British television show Top of the Pops. A year later, they would co-wrote and produced (with A Touch of Class) their second hit single "Superstar". In 2004, 'Flawless' resurfaced again through George Michael's #8 UK Pop Singles charting rework 'Flawless (Go To The City)' (from his acclaimed album Patience), once again thrusting the outfit into the international spotlight. Now the salacious auteurs of glossy electro-disco chic and pop-rock glitterati re-emerge with their long-awaited self-titled long-player. Drawing upon diverse musical styles and influences from disco, house and punk to electro, art-rock and old school hip hop, The Ones unleash a superlative collection of electronic-fuelled funk-rock juggernauts featuring the explosive hits 'Flawless' and 'Superstar', alongside future classics 'Picture Perfect', 'I Feel Upside Down' and 'Ultramodern'.
