Legendary label started in 1991 by Coldcut members Matt Black and Jonathan More. Known for its diversity of releases, Ninja Tune managed to tie very individual and creative artists to its roster. Even though Ninja Tune delivers everything from downbeat, breakbeat, hip hop, easy listening or experimental music it is being seen as a genre of its own: Ninja Tune. Today the label is run out of London, UK and Montreal, Canada.

The Compilation Ninja Tune XX (Volume 2) was reviewed:
The second volume of Ninja Tune's mind-boggling anniversary compilation takes a more soulful turn, with great new material by Bonobo, Gaslamp Killer, Yppah, Mr. Scruff, Floating Points, and Jaga Jazzist, while some more electronic punches are delivered by Mala, Autechre, and Lorn. Deliriously good.
