Tevo Howard started playing with his brothers turntables when a skateboard accident confined him to his home. The pastime became a passion, and during high-school and college, where he studied bass playing, Howard's vinyl collection grew. After a few more years at DePaul University, Howard eventually decided to focus on music full time, launching his own label Beautiful Granville Records in 2008. His productions have received universal praise ever since - classic, deep Chicago house rarely sounded this fresh.

Tevo Howard continues to amaze us with his heart-felt take on Chicago house. Yes, he is probably using the same gear as Marshall Jefferson did some 20 years ago, but as long as he churns out tracks as brilliant as 'Laboratory' with it, we honestly couldn't care less. Timeless house music.
