Terrence Dixon's long-time alliance with the Godfather of Techno Juan Atkins has helped forge his own powerful sound in the world of minimalist Techno. Dixon produced two highly remarkable releases as Population One on Metroplex and as Terrence Dixon on the majority of the Utensil label output, including the programmatic 'Minimalism' series. Since his first 'Live in Detroit' release in 1994 on Utensil, Dixon has become well-established in the electronic music underground for having produced some of the deepest atmosphere in the genre and for perfecting the art of musical reduction.
