French-born composer Sylvain Chauveau's native instrument is the electric guitar, but he also records reflective, melodic compositions for piano, strings, winds and discreet electronic sounds, using silence as a musical element in itself. He mostly releases on Birmingham's renowned Type label, and, besides performing live, works on film and dance scores. Chauveau currently lives in Brussels, Belgium.
