An integral member of Berlin's Mojuba Records crew, Sven Weisemann explores deep and dubby house and techno in his productions as well as in his DJ sets. Playing piano, acoustic guitar and percussion, all of which were self-taught, Weisemann's musical influences are not only comprised of house and techno, but encompass jazz, film scores and classical music. He also records under numerous aliases, Desolate being one of them.

Following his Burial-style electronica explorations as Desolate, Sven Weisemann returns to Mojuba with two deep dub house cuts. 'Emphazised' punctures a seductive 909 groove with fat chord stabs, while 'Caprice' adheres to Basic Channel's reductionist principles. Wonderful release.
