Always a girl to do things her own way, Susanne Brokesch has been creating her idiosyncratic brand of electronic music since the mid-90s. Born and raised in Vienna, Brokesch found her first outlet in the Cheap Records label, which released her 'White Cloud' EP to a puzzled public in 1995. A second release under the same project name - Sil Electronics - soon followed on another pioneering label of the day - 'Tal-S' on Sähkö Recordings - before Brokesch decided to start recording under her real name and focus on album production. Fusing electronic ambiances with references from Jazz, classical music, techno or pop, Brokesch' music puts the overall mood before functionality or stylistic boundaries. She currently lives in New York City with her husband Abe Duque and records for Disko B and ChicksOnSpeed Records.
