Founded in 2003 and run by Marc Leclair (a.k.a. Akufen), Vincent Lemieux, Scott Monteith (a.k.a. Deadbeat) and Stephen Beaupré, Musique Risquée is a Montreal based label focusing on crunchy and reduced techno and house. Prominent contributors include Uwe Schmidt under his Atom TM guise, Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts, The Mole and Jichael Mackson. Since 2007, Musique Risquée has become an official label of the Mutek organization, which runs Canada's most respected electronic music festival and its associated label Mutek_Rec.
