London-based label Ramp Recordings is on the forefront of a new contemporary downbeat movement, crossing over hip-hop with heavy synths and wonky beats taken from dubstep, electro and other modern genres. Prominent artists include Zomby and Flying Lotus. Ramp's sub-label for UK funky house is PTN.

Forced to change name for legal reasons from Christian AIDS, Manchester's newly renamed Stay+ releases this strong EP on Ramp. Opening track 'Stay Positive' rewires 90s-eurotrance euphoria with a slodgey ghostly 2010s disenchantment, gritty and twisted feverish tracks. Hot stuff.|
