Like label mate Aphex Twin, Squarepusher operates at the most experimental end of the dance music spectrum. With jazz music being a key influence in his creations, his sound is like the bastard child of drum & bass, acid and free form or improvised classical music. Probably the only person in the world who can take the Amen break, and make it sound like nothing you have never heard before.

His first ever album for Warp Records, Squarepusher's Hard Normal Daddy is a brilliantly hectic journey through the aftermath of the collision between sublime, spacey jazz and nervous, skittery jungle. With its occasionally leanings toward 70s funk, this is one of Jenkinson's many memorable efforts.
