Sluts'n'Strings & 909 is one of the countless projects of Patrick Pulsinger and Erdem Tunakan (of Cheap Records fame), blending funk and disco vibes with Detroit flavoured techno and electro. Tracks like 'Summerbreeze' or 'In Your Pretty Face' are timeless techno classics that have been re-issued recently on labels like Sender Records. Their album 'Carrera' is widely regarded as one of the most influential dance albums of the 90s.

The Compilation 10 Years Of Cheap Records was reviewed:
10 years of label work has surely given Cheap Records something to show for and this compilation collects some of the seminal label's finest moments. From Robert Hood's 'Stark Reality' to iO's 'Claire', there's plenty of classics you'll find on here, along with some more off-beat material from the label's vaults.

The Album Carrera was reviewed:
An absolutely classic album by Pulsinger & Tunakan from 1997, 'Carrera' still stands tall with its brilliant mix of free-style sampling, sophisticated breaks and analogue production. This is the album that can be credited for bringing jazz (back) into techno in a good way. Essential.
