Long-standing member of Berlin's Hardwax posse, Shed has emerged as one of the most characteristic artists of Berlin's electronic underground in recent years. Maturing his sound on recordings for Delsin and his own Soloaction label, Shed released his debut album 'Shedding The Past' in 2008 via Ostgut Ton, receiving international acclaim for his subtle cross-over of contemporary techno, dubstep and electronica. Shed further entertains a number of sought-after vinyl only projects under altering names, such as Equalized, Wax, Head High and WK7.

The Album The Traveller was reviewed:
Given Shed's high profile since the release of 'Shedding The Past', his second album has been highly anticipated, and fans of Shed's more adventurous productions will be delighted to hear that 'The Traveller' follows closely in its predecessor's footsteps.

Straight techno is only briefly touched upon, whereas much of the album sets out to explore the possibilities of broken beats within a loosely Detroit-inspired frame of reference. With its diverse set of mainly short tracks 'The Traveller' can feel like a sketchbook at times, albeit a highly original and enjoyable one.
