Formerly running the Skull Disco label together with Appleblim, Sam Shackleton has been a tremendous influence on the world of dubstep within recent years. Having moved to Berlin (from London), he has been one of the driving forces in crossing the worlds of dubstep, techno and experimental music with releases on Honest Jon's Records and his own Woe To The Septic Heart imprint.

Taking 'Deadman' from his highly-acclaimed Fabric mix, Shackleton's hissing and sizzling percussive finery is twice reworked by Kevin Martin. The King Midas Sound remix imbues a beautiful desolate atmosphere with Hitomi's vocals, whilst The Bug's version fixes further beat abstractions to it. Very fine.
