Growing up on the tranquil island of Reunion is unlikely to have prepared Alexis Benard a.k.a. Seuil for the busy Paris club life, yet he has established himself as one of the key players in the French capital's electronic music scene since his move there in 2000. Since 2006 he has released well over 20 EPs on prominent labels such as Moon Harbour and Circus Company, gradually evolving his sound away from minimal techno towards complex deep house compositions.

After Moon Harbour and New Kanada Alexis Benard a.k.a. Seuil adds yet another fine label to his extensive discography. His debut EP Circus Company debut certainly highlights the French producer's strengths: Four cuts of idiosyncratic, slightly quirky house music, with a deep and edgy touch. Nice!
