Founded in 1997 by Emanuel Geller, Axel Erbstoesser and Sebastian Becky of the electro group Klystron in Cologne, Germany, SALZ are deeply rooted in techno and dub-house in the classic style of Basic Channel and Maurizio as is clear on their reissued collection of singles 'SALZ 1,' 'SALZ 2,' and 'SALZ 3' (which were actually all initially released in the the late 90s and early 2000). SALZ have been busy in the studio over the last several years releasing a number of 12 inch LPs, a slew of mix-compilations, and remixes for electronic music pioneers such as Alexander Robotnik and Thomas Dolby.
