From his his remote location in the Harz mountains, close to the former border of East and West Germany, Stephan Laubner has been busy creating one of the most remarkable bodies of work within contemporary German electronic music. Releasing his first pieces of music on the Perlon label almost ten years ago, Laubner has since dedicated himself mainly to his own imprint Something, recording far-fiction ambient scores as Lunatik Sound System and experimental house grooves as STL, the lo-fi aesthetic of which has been frequently likened to the productions of Theo Parrish.

The Album Klangbewegungen was reviewed:
One of the finest releases in STL's astonishing catalogue, 'Klangbewegungen' (Sound Movements) is now available in digital format for the first time. Theo Parrish-inspired deep house with an experimental, otherworldly edge, but definitely suited for the dancefloor. Incredible music.
