Russ Gabriel's name is synonymous with UK techno, having started his influential Ferox label as as early as 1993. Influenced by the sound of Detroit techno, Gabriel has recorded under pseudonyms like Paul Hannah, Too Funk, and VCF in styles ranging from electronic funk to hard analogue techno. After half a year in Detroit in the mid 90s, Russ made the inevitable move from the small village of Liss, Hampshire, and relocated himself and the label to London in 1997. By 2000 Russ had relocated once again to Germany where he has been ever since, producing, DJing and hosting the radio show RT-Transmission, which is also a recording project together with Gabriel's partner Der Thal.
