Founded by New York artist and radio DJ Veronica Vasicka in 2005, Minimal Wave is a label dedicated to unearthing rare and obscure recordings of futuristic European new wave from the 1980s. Over the past few years more than 20 albums of the era have been carefully remastered and reissued. Since 2008 Minimal Wave has a sub-label, Cititrax, which focuses on early US house and electro productions from that period.

The Album The Art Dance was reviewed:
Minimal Wave presents this full length by Ruins, an Italian electro-wave duo formed in Mestre in 1978. Recorded between 1980-1984 'The Art Dance' is a killer album, its songs ranging from Jimmy Edgar and Dopplereffekt style electro to Talking Heads inspired wave funk. Don't miss.
