Glasgow seems to have an inexhaustible supply of young talented artists these days, and Rudi Zygadlo is the latest of them to make his mark via the mighty Planet Mu imprint. Much like his peers Hudson Mohawke or Rustie, Zygadlo mashes up influences from R&B, dubstep and electrofunk, but adds a solid dose of pop music to the mix. With his debut album 'Great Western Laymen' receiving rave reviews across the board, expect to hear more from the man in the future.

Planet Mu unleashes the debut album of Glasgow's Rudi Zygadlo, whose 'Great Western Laymen' demonstrates how nicely the neon-purple grime-funk styles of Joker, Rustie or HudMo can be crossed over with pop music. Impressive debut by a fine new talent.
