Named after a special kind of mushroom, Röyksopp are one the most prominent electronic music artists hailing from Norway. The group's two members, Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge, originally met in their home town of Tromsø and have been recording together since the mid-1990s. Their album 2001 'Melody A.M.' became hugely successful with the group's characteristic brand of psychedelic downbeat music, while later efforts took their sound further into a dancefloor direction.

Every new Röyksopp album will be forever compared with their million-selling 'Melody A.M.', but rather than stifling their creativity, the duo's success has given them the freedom to experiment. 'Senior' is once again an exceptional effort, combining trippy synth sounds and moody krautrock. Great.
