Rick 'The Godson' Wilhite might not be as prominent as his Detroit house music peers and frequent collaborators Theo Parrish and Moodymann, but there's no doubting his influence on the Motor City house music scene, be it as a record store owner, DJ or producer for KDJ and Stilove4music. Two of his classic EPs, 'Soul Edge' and 'The Godson' have recently been reissued by Dutch label Rush Hour.

Second instalment of Rush Hour's gold digging for ultra rare Detroit house music. Originally released in 1997 on Kenny Dixon's KDJ label, 'The Godson EP' has been out of print ever since. All tracks have been meticulously remastered and now come with an unreleased Moodymann remix. Essential!
