Rick 'The Godson' Wilhite might not be as prominent as his Detroit house music peers and frequent collaborators Theo Parrish and Moodymann, but there's no doubting his influence on the Motor City house music scene, be it as a record store owner, DJ or producer for KDJ and Stilove4music. Two of his classic EPs, 'Soul Edge' and 'The Godson' have recently been reissued by Dutch label Rush Hour.

Reissue of Rick Wilhite's classic 'Soul Edge EP', which was his first release on Moodymann's KDJ label in 1996. Featuring the original Theo Parrish and Kenny Dixon remixes and an unreleased bonus version by Rick himself, this is a big historic release and shouldn't be missing from your collection.
