Munich-boy Richard Bartz swapped the graffiti- for the techno-scene during the early 90s and has remained one of Germany's most highly regarded producers ever since. His early productions as Acid Scout (remember 1994's high-speed techno anthem 'Balance'), Horn or Richie have put Bartz into the limelight, and his many years of production work for fellow Bavarian DJ Hell have further added to his reputation. In 1996 he founded his own label Kurbel, which - despite a time-out brought about by the insolvency of distributor EFA in 2002 - is still going strong today. Bartz' preferred medium of communication with the dancing public however remains his Live PA, which he has developed into a highly evolved art form over the years.
