David Kennedy, a.k.a. Ramadanman and Pearson Sound, has lately become one of the leading figures in a new movement within the dubstep world: artists like Martyn or Appleblim who are eager to pick up house and Detroit techno influences in their sound, while staying true to the advanced beat structures that made dubstep great in the first place. Besides production and DJing, Kennedy has his hands in running the Hessle Audio label.

The Maxi-Single Glut / Tempest was reviewed:
Killer first for Ramadanman on Hemlock, with two tracks taking it way beyond any established dubstep formulas. 'Glut' is Miami bass on dubstep tip - rapid rimshots, a catchy vocal hook and organ chords adding deepness. 'Tempest' meanwhile is a UK funky dub with a massive breakdown. Brilliant.
