One of the defining Dutch electronic music projects of the 90s, Quazar successfully connected the underground to the mainstream and produced quite a number of house classics in the process. Quazar were originally formed by Gert Van Veen (a.k.a. MG) and Erik van Putten (a.k.a. Eric Cycle) in 1990 and started out recording for legendary Amsterdam label Go Bang! Their first album 'Seven Stars' managed to sell over 10.000 copies and when Go Bang!'s label activity was suspended in 1996, they founded their own label Seven Stars Records. Quazar continued to record for German label Superstition with varying degrees of success until in 1999 they eventually called it quits for good.
