Founded in 2002 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Echocord and its sister label Echocord Colour are run by Danish DJ Kenneth Christiansen. Over the past years the imprint has developed into one of the leading outlets for contemporary dub techno with occasional excursions into more obscure regions of dub. Echocord's main artists with well over a dozen releases on the label is Copenhagen's Mikkel Metal, while further contributions come from a who-is-who of dub techno artists, including Quantec, Rod Modell and Fenin.
