For anyone who has lived through the electronic music movement of the early 90s the name alone has a magic ring to it - B12 has been home to some of the boldest, most futuristic and forward thinking music ever made. Part of the mystique surrounding the label stems from the fact that the eponymous group behind it (B12 a.k.a. Mike Golding and Steve Rutter) called it quits at the peak of their popularity, back in 1996 right after having signed a deal with Warp Records. One last EP for Warp was followed by 10 years of silence, and only after mediocre bootlegs started to appear, label operations were resumed - followed by highly anticipated new productions by the influential duo.
