Matt Edwards a.k.a Radio Slave, a.k.a Rekid, one half of Quiet Village and one the most talented and diverse DJ's and producers of present times started the label Rekids only a few years ago, precisely in 2006. In this short period of time he and his partner James Masters have established their imprint into a home for all the sophisticated yet effective pieces in contemporary electronic dance music. Together with his former co-worker Serge Santiago, Matt Edwards started out on "Rekid" with bootlegs of tracks by Fisherspooner, Jay-Z, J-Kwon, Roman Flügel or DJ Hell, which should later become officially remixed by them. And with his unique production- and A&R skills he can now get practically anyone he likes to contribute to the label, whether it be the next hot shot or old stager in the scene, everyone gratefully gives tracks or remixes knowing to be in good company.

This Track is featured in Update #071:
Martyn, Axel Boman, Sandwell District, Alva Noto
This October has provided us with an abundance of outstanding albums, and it's been harder than ever to pick our release of the month. In the end the accolades had to go to Martyn's brilliant 'Ghost People' full-length, which evolves his sound far beyond the more...

The Compilation Works! - Remixes 2006 - 2010 was reviewed:
Matt Edwards' remixes are epic techno journeys, rarely clocking in at under 10 minutes. 'Works!' collects 22 of his finest pieces, totalling close to 4hrs. Whether you intend to lean back and get drawn into Radio Slaves' masterful arrangements or simply dance your socks off, this one comes highly recommended.
