Matt Edwards a.k.a Radio Slave, a.k.a Rekid, one half of Quiet Village and one the most talented and diverse DJ's and producers of present times started the label Rekids only a few years ago, precisely in 2006. In this short period of time he and his partner James Masters have established their imprint into a home for all the sophisticated yet effective pieces in contemporary electronic dance music. Together with his former co-worker Serge Santiago, Matt Edwards started out on "Rekid" with bootlegs of tracks by Fisherspooner, Jay-Z, J-Kwon, Roman Flügel or DJ Hell, which should later become officially remixed by them.
And with his unique production- and A&R skills he can now get practically anyone he likes to contribute to the label, whether it be the next hot shot or old stager in the scene, everyone gratefully gives tracks or remixes knowing to be in good company.
