Also recording his music under the name Turner, Paul Kominek uses his Pawel alias for his releases on Hamburg's revered Dial label. Born in Poland, and raised in Frankfurt, Kominek produces a broad spectrum of music, and his vita includes successful film soundtracks ('Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei'), as well as remixes for Giardini Di MirĂ², Ellen Allien, or Tocotronic. Pawel aka Paul Kominek's sublime debut album on Dial last year gets some fine reworks. Patrice Scott embellishes a thick warm bass in 'Crillon', Osunlade fills out the energetic 'Panamerican' with a tropical shuffle and John Roberts gives 'Kramnik' his very special glowing bronze touch. Ace remixes.
