From acclaimed DJ to rave victim and back - this story is told in 'Berlin Calling', the motion picture in which Paul Kalkbrenner has recently given his lead actor screen debut. In real life Kalbrenner is an equally acclaimed artist, whose minimalistic, yet colourful and energetic beats have set standards for contemporary Berlin techno. We are also very positive that unlike his film alter-ego DJ Ickarus, Kalkbrenner has never demolished the office of his BPitch Control label head Ellen Allien.
