His releases of unadorned Detroit-inspired techno-house have made Danilo Plessow everybody's darling over the last two years, and have grabbed the attention of big shots such as Jazzanova or DJ T, who have been eager to commission remixes by the young Stuttgart-based producer. Plessow injects his tracks with an amount of roughness, energy, and gritty soul, which has become uncommon in times of digital production. Besides his high-profile remixes and releases for big labels such as 2020Vision, he consequently stays true to his underground roots with a variety of projects on small, homegrown imprints.

Picked!
MCDE's ultra-lush track 'L.O.V.E.' taken from his excellent DJ-KiCKS mix gets a slew of prime remixes. Kyle Hall's brilliant rework going in deep, heady and raw, Wolfgang Voigt extracts tense synths and lends a ghostly vibe, Smallville's Smallpeople busying with oldschool cheer. A+++ all round!
