The highly anticipated second album of all-star trio von Oswald, Loderbauer, and Ripatti continues where its predecessor, 'Vertical Ascent', left off: five subtle explorations of electronic improvisation, deep, bass-driven dub, and complex rhythmic structures. Brilliant.

Preceding the righteous trio's upcoming album expected in Spring, Honest Jon's let this teaser out. The original is a fantastical twelve minute chase of kosmische synths and minimally shifting rhythms, to which DMZ's Mala gives a sturdy rebuild, instilling it with a larger-than-life shuddering bass. Epic.

The all-star trio of von Oswald, Ripatti and Loderbauer release an absolute treat of a live album with special contributions from Carl Craig and Francois K. Expanding on stems and ideas from 'Vertical Ascent', the 'Nothings' prove their improvisational talents as nothing short of outstanding. Essential.
