Moby Moby Moby Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Azuli Back Catalog
Spanning 20 years, more than 3,000 concerts, and the sale of over 20,000,000 records worldwide, Moby's prolific career has seen him release nine studio albums, remix everyone from Metallica and David Bowie to The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson, and in the midst of it all he's even managed to find the extra time with which to make music under several alias' including two full length albums as Voodoo Child. Born Richard Melville Hall in Harlem, and related to the iconic author of 'Moby Dick,' Herman Melville, Moby began playing music at the age of nine with the aid of a classical guitar. The release of his first single, 'Go,' in 1991 (which Rolling Stone Magazine listed as one of the best records of all time) solidified Moby's place amongst dance music royalty. Perhaps best known to the world for his single laden album 'Play,' which relied heavily on vocal samples from gospel records from the early 1900s and their fusion with his electro/acoustic productions, Moby proved himself an artist capable of doing what only great artists can: staying one step ahead of the pack. Attaining success and recognition in one genre of music would be, for most, a lofty goal in and of itself. For Moby, however, it was only a springboard. From dance music to his punk rock album 'Animal Rights,' to his ambient record 'Ambient,' to his work on several film scores, most prominently his remix of the iconic James Bond theme for the Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies,' Moby has come to epitomize the 21st century producer, seamlessly moving from one project/genre to another and through it all, never losing his distinct sound. 2009 witnesses his return with the album 'Wait For Me,' an intimate collection of songs ranging from the dreamy rock of Shot In The Back Of The Head to the decry of violence on Study War.
