Milton Jackson (real name Barrie Christie) released his first EP 'Deep Streets' on Solemusic's Tronicsole imprint at the tender age of nineteen. His style of moody techno with an undercurrent of deep house has become his trademark sound, and his productions often introduce straight four-to-the-floor beats with idiosyncratic, techy sounds. His first album 'The Bionic Boy' was received well by critics as well as the house community and it brought about the Pepe Bradock influenced single 'Sunlight'. After having mainly released music on Glasgow labels such as Solemusic and Glasgow Underground, Milton put out his 'I Want It' and 'Special Powers' EPs on Freerange, as well as his 'Future Fresh' EP on Silver Network, and his 'The Fade Runner' EP on Urbantorque. In addition, Jackson has also recorded under a variety of pseudonyms, even venturing into the down-tempo domain as Napoleon Solo. His Bear Trax imprint released Mylo's first vinyl release when the pair recorded as 'The Pretty Boys'. Jackson's latest album 'Crash' was released on Freerange in 2009 and is a very fine addition to his house catalogue and a must-have for fans of classic house with a touch of something new.
