Mikkel Meldgaard's musical career started as a guitarist in various bands before he discovered electronic music during the mid-90s. Armed with a sampler his style shifted from broken beats towards dub electronics still bearing traces of his indie rock roots. From 2000 on his releases have started to appear on Kompakt and most notably on Echocord, a label to which he has so far contributed over a dozen releases.
