Initiated by Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani out of their joint love for classic disco boogie tunes, moody house and modern techno, Metro Area burst onto the scene in 1999 with their self-titled debut 12" featuring the cult smash 'Atmosphrique'. Bringing back the soulful experimentation of early club classics, Metro Area mixes live and electronic instruments, blending different moods from Detroit's coldness, Chicago's tracky functionalism and New York's soulful house music.
