Mesak is Turku's Tatu Metsätähti, one of Finland's most prolific producers of analogue electro and funked-up low-fi house. Since the late 90s Tatu has been releasing his music under a variety of project names, the most prominent perhaps being Mr. Velcro Fastener, a group he founded with Tatu Peltonen. Mesak releases have mostly appeared on the Dutch Klakson imprint, which is also the outlet of his newest album, 'Dada Wheel'.

The EP Dada Wheel Sampler was reviewed:
Finnish electro hero Mesak returns with new album and EP. The latter comes with a remix by Marcel Dettmann, who turns the charmingly noisy house track 'Stitch Seq' into a stripped down, hypnotic and echoing techno piece. Add the slow and bassy electro-cut 'Nahat' and what you get is an excellent EP!
