Marcello Napoletano Marcello Napoletano Marcello Napoletano Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Bosconi Records
Hailing from the town of Lecce in southern Italy, Marcello Napoletano has been gaining attention with his unique productions of fragile and analogue underground house music, appearing on well-reputed labels such as Mathematics, Yore, and Rush Hour. Together with Francesco Schito he further records as I.F.M., a project named after their mutual friend Ilario Corsano, who passed away in 2007 and whose memory the project intends to keep alive.

Marcello Napoletano's low-fi house is always something special and this new EP for Bosconi is no exception: 'Noise Is The Cure' sounds like Ron Trent fed into various distortion and anti-quantization devices, while his two I.F.M collaborations strike a deep, respectively slightly hysteric note. Unique!

Already having made a name for himself with a slap of outstanding releases last year Marcello Napoletano once again proves that he isn't just a flash in the pan. Following the classic roots of raw House music he delivers three effervescent tracks with so much detail that they come to resemble live jams laid down in packed clubs. Ace!

Marcello Napoletano has been receiving much praise for his recent releases on Jamal Moss' Mathematics imprint. 'Chicago-Detroit-New York' makes clear where the Italian producer derives his inspiration from and should expand his fan base even further: Four low-slung, instant classic cuts in the vein of house music pioneers like Ron Trent or Moodymann.
