Despite his young age, Manuel Tur is widely regarded as one of Germany's hottest house music producers at the moment. Somewhat of a teenage prodigy, having recorded his first 12" in 2002 at the age of 16, Manuel has since put out over a dozen records, achieving wide-reaching recognition with his signing to Jimpster's Freerange label and his single 'Acorado'. Most recently he has teamed up with fellow German DPlay and their joint productions on the Compost, Freerange and Drumpoet Community labels stand out for their modern, yet deep and highly musical interpretation of house music.
This EP is featured in Update #051:
Agoria, James Blake, Moritz Von Oswald Trio
February is rumoured to be the year's shortest month, but looking at the past weeks' shocking amount of great releases we are not sure we can confirm this.
Massive artists albums by Agoria, James Blake, Isolée, Siriusmo, Nicolas Jaar, Steffi, Tim Hecker, more...
Manuel Tur's latest single captures the essence of 1990s club music with massive Kevin Saunderson style chords and classic house vocals by singer Holly Backler. A profession of love to the days of Inner City, and perhaps less voluntarily, acts like Robin S., and Snap. Fine release.
