Playing his Roland SH-101 at knee level, young and upcoming Lorenz Rhode isn't afraid of striking a pose, neither in his press shots, nor in his music. Riff-heavy 80s disco, funk and synth pop serve as inspirations for his productions, which have lately been appearing on Compost as well as Berlin new-rave outlet Exploited.

The EP Something Hot was reviewed:
Lorenz Rhode drops another slap of of synth heavy disco infused electro funk this time with Snax on vocal support. The productions are so fresh that you immediately want to put on your roller skates or pick up your pogo stick and get down with your homies from the block.
