Gert-Jan Bijl is possibly Holland 's most prolific producer of left field dance music. His music is usually inspired by the deep and melodic techno sound characteristic for 90s Detroit and UK productions. Under the name Gerd he has recorded for Marc Pritchard's and Tom Middleton's legendary label 'Evolution / Universal Language Productions', while his projects Literon and Amplified Orchestra lean towards Detroit techno and disco respectively. He runs the labels Fortek and 4Lux.
